Faith of a Child

Have you ever found yourself trying to un-know something? Maybe you got bad news that you wish would have come at a better time, or, maybe you simply wish you hadn't just read about the little thing you are doing is actually a sin? Whatever it is hard to pretend that we don't know. All of those old wives tales that our parents taught us saying "You can't do this" because for some reason it was bad. One that I am still getting over is apparently we can have the light on in a car without getting pulled over, yet, I know I will still be super careful not to do that.

The last few months... wait, no weeks. We have been busy guys... I keep coming back to this brick wall, called my faith, that will not let me believe anything but the truth. Seriously, I try to use some "adult logic" in the matter, you know that logic that says "let's be realistic" and I can just hear God saying, "Whoah! What are you doing?!"

A dear friend of mine came to me a few weeks ago and asked me if she could speak some encouragement to me. Myself, being a lover of words of affirmation, immediately begged her to share. Her words, "I love how you have the heart of a child. You have the same child-like spirit as the students, and it's inspiring. It's naive, but a good naive. Responsible. You can carry yourself the way you do, and still receive perfect respect from the children."
Guys, this floored me, because I already know this about myself, it was so nice to hear it from another heart who could see it too!

It is just so easy though! We make faith and living so hard! Look at His Word and what He says! Jesus said, “Unless you humble yourself and become like a little child, you shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matt. 18:3-4).

Isaiah 41:10
'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen yo, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

Luke 12:25
And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life's span?
